Galway's Mayor, Cllr. Noel Larkin, has been invited to join the delegation from Ireland and attend St. Patrick's Day activities at the White House on the 16th of March.
Mayor Larkin said "Anything that increases the profile of the city on the international stage has to be positive."
We disagree.
His visit coincides with the re-implementation of the Muslim ban in the United States and his presence at this event condones the ban and the administration's treatment of minorities.
Join us outside City Hall at 1pm on Wednesday with your best sign and your loudest voice. We will not allow the Irish people to be used as propaganda for this administration!
