Community Farmworker Alliance - NYC Fair Food

Community/Farmworker Alliance - NYC Fair Food is a local New York City Metro Area collective of community members, students, youth and people of faith that organize in solidarity with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers in their Campaign for Fair food, a national movement to transform the purchasing practices of the corporate food industry in order to advance the human rights of farmworkers at the bottom of corporate supply chains.

CFA - NYC Fair Food operates within a national network of allied groups across the country that receive campaign direction from the CIW but organize as autonomous, collective bodies. We are volunteer run and utilize a variety of committee working groups to organize actions, regional gatherings, community events, fundraisers, outreach, and our own media!

Allies across the country are calling on Wendy's to sign an agreement, as 12 other corporations have done including four of the top five fast food corporations (Wendy's being the exception), with the CIW to pay a penny more per pound of tomatoes picked, ensure a place at the table for farmworkers, and a zero tolerance policy for modern day slavery.

The Coalition of Immokalee Workers is a farmworker organization fighting for better wages and working conditions in Florida’s fields since 1993.

With the support of ally groups like Student/Farmworker Alliance and CFA/NYC Fair Food, the CIW is changing the face of agriculture and building a more just and sustainable food system!
