Teachers vs. the Trump Tax Scam

The Republican Tax Plan is being jammed through Congress as quickly as possible so billionaires can receive giant tax cuts, paid for by working-class Americans.

One tax hike the Republicans are pushing is revoking the tax deduction that allows school teachers to deduct the money they spend out-of-pocket on classroom supplies. Under the Republican plan, teachers will need to pay additional taxes on the money they spend buying pencils, paper, and chalk for their (underfunded) classrooms.
