Donald Trump is once again shamelessly using his position as President to line his pockets, this time by hosting a fundraiser for his own re-election at the Trump International Hotel in DC. Trump and his supporters already have their sights set on another four years of racist, sexist, and xenophobic policies.
While his party aims to take away health insurance from tens of millions of Americans, gut Medicaid with an $800 billion cut, and cut taxes for millionaires and billionaires on the backs of the poor and the sick, Donald Trump is holding a $35,000-a-plate fundraiser.
Trump's mega-donors are hoping for another four years of mass incarceration, overpolicing, the failed war on drugs, attacks on labor, slashing of the social safety net, rolling back LGBTQ+ rights, and mass deportations. Just like the Senate healthcare bill, these policies will be especially harmful to people of color, low-income communities, elderly Americans, people with disabilities, and women.
Let's send a message loud and clear- we resist and reject the disastrous agenda of Trump and his allies in Congress.
