No Potomac Pipeline: DMV Action!

3303 Water Street NW

November 4, 2017,
2:00 pm to 3:30 pm

DC activists will host an event to bring more DC residents into the campaign and help DMV residents come to together to stand up against the Potomac Pipeline that threatens our prescious drinking water. Ultimately, MD Governor Larry Hogan will decide the fate of the pipeline so now is the time to show our resistance across the region. DC residents must do our part to influence the DC Council to publicly oppose the pipeline and send a strong message to Hogan.

The proposed pipeline would carry fracked gas under the Potomac River. It is being built by the notorious TransCanada Corporation – the company behind the Keystone XL Pipeline. The pipeline is slated to route through very porous bedrock under the Potomac River. Because the bedrock is full of holes and fissures, it is very easy for any pollutants to enter our drinking water sources. If gas from the pipeline were to leak into this system, the safety hazard would be significant.

We must all come together and show we will stand for clean drinking water and against fossil fuel infrastructure!

Please join us for a celebration of the river and a rally for all DMV pipeline activists on November 4!
