12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

We are planning a local action in Detroit, in solidarity with national People’s Climate March in Washington DC on April 29 - We Resist. We Build. We Rise. March for Climate, Jobs and Justice.

#DetroitclimateMarch #PeoplesclimateMarch
If you can't make it to Washington DC, please plan to join us in Detroit!

We are planning an event that links the local struggles against dirty energy that harm our health and our communities -- Detroit incinerator, Marathon refinery, expansion of US Ecology -- and celebrates those working for clean, renewable energy and energy democracy. We want to link with others working for immigrant rights, and other social justice movements. We are planning an event that reflects and amplifies the culture and movements that make up Detroit!

Join us on April 29 at 12pm as we build movement, and build community together.

We Resist. We Build. We Rise.

This event will begin in the auditorium of the Charles H. Wright Museum at 12pm and will be followed by a march beginning outside the museum at 12:45pm.

Join us afterwards for "The Future of Detroit is NOW" celebration at nearby Peck Park from 2-4pm.
